Full-time, Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Overtime
Saturday overtime is often available for employees who want additional hours.
About the Position
Dobson Chimney Repair & Masonry is looking for a dependable, hardworking hod carrier to join our growing masonry crew. This is a hands-on position supporting experienced masons on chimney repairs, rebuilds, tuckpointing, brickwork, stonework, and other residential and light commercial masonry projects throughout the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in working hard, shows up consistently, and wants to become a valuable part of a professional crew. Masonry experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the trade.
Responsibilities
· Mix mortar and maintain proper consistency throughout the job
· Stage brick, block, stone, tools, and materials for the masons
· Carry mortar and masonry materials safely and efficiently
· Set up, move, and take down scaffolding and jobsite equipment
· Assist with demolition, grinding, cleanup, and material disposal
· Keep jobsites organized, safe, and presentable
· Protect customers’ homes, landscaping, roofing, and surrounding property
· Follow direction and help the crew maintain an efficient pace
What We Are Looking For
· Dependable and on time every day
· Able to perform physically demanding work outdoors
· Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding
· Able to lift and carry 50–80 pounds repeatedly
· Willing to work in heat, cold, and changing weather conditions
· Able to follow instructions and work well with a crew
· Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
· Masonry, construction, roofing, or general labor experience is a plus
