Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Clear and bus tables promptly, ensuring dining areas remain clean, organized, and inviting for guests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and dishware safely and efficiently.
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers and other cleaning tools, adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and dining space in compliance with health regulations.
- Support food handling procedures during busy service times to ensure quality and safety standards are met consistently.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation protocols is a plus.
- Experience with dishwashing, bussing, or basic kitchen tasks enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members.
- Culinary or catering experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to contribute are essential.
