JOB PROFILE:
The Banquet Food Server (FS) will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of WCC's dining and event service operation. He or she will support the other F&B Team Members and ensure Member/guest satisfaction by continually monitoring the private event rooms/areas by providing exceptional service while keeping the areas clean, safe, and well-stocked. He or she will; maintain a physical presence on the floor; provide service to all Members/guests; be knowledgeable of menus including content and preparation of all food and beverage. A neat and organized individual, the FS is a team player who helps out wherever he or she can make a difference. Possessing a strong customer service orientation, the FS always keeps an eye out for ways to meet Member/guest and Team Member needs. A polite and professional communicator, the FS is an attentive yet unobtrusive presence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Take food and beverage orders from Members/guests
- Serve food and beverage to Members/guests in the prescribed method
- Maintain a constant physical presence on the floor and/or in their service area
- Work banquets and special events
- Set up/strike and/or move tables and chairs, staging, audio/visual equipment, etc. as needed
- Hold the primary responsibility for the service in their station
- Work with Bussers, Bartenders and Supervisors to ensure the Club's standards of service are met
- Follows the Club's sequence of service
- Remove dirty dishes and glasses from dining area and brings them to dishwasher stand
- Perform opening and closing side work and/or checklists
- Receive and greet Members and guests whenever possible
- Inform supervisors of guest who are in violation of the dress code or in violation of Club policy
- Act as Porter when necessary
- Maintain a safe work environment and report all safety issues to their Supervisor
- Assist other Servers, Bartenders, Food Runners, etc. as needed
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:
Requirements are representative of a certain level of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
1. Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English
2. Able to take food and drink orders completely, learn the prescribed methods for entering orders into the POS
3. Able to memorize and recite food, bar & wine menus, their content, preparation & presentation
(ie. Ingredients, garnish, sides, etc.)
4. Able to learn prescribed methods for serving and removing dishes, glasses, setting tables and cleaning dining areas
5. Able to work rapidly and quietly during rush periods
6. Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by Management
7. Punctual and reliable
8. Must hold a current Food Handler's certification
PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE, AND SOCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in the sun, stand and walk 6-8 hours per day, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist at the neck and waist, reach above and below shoulder level, and use dominant hand to grasp, push and pull (simple and power) and for fine manipulation.
SAFETY AND SECURITY:
· Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe,
and secure environment.
· Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
· Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
· Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
· Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
· Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
· Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
· Follow Club specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Private Club Experience preferred
· Great communication skills required
· Proper candidate should be highly detailed and organized
· Proper candidate should have great customer service skills
