Greenskeeper - Golf Course
This position requires a genuine interest in golf and a love for the outdoors with a passion for agronomy & attention to detail. The Greenskeeper will play an integral role in the success of the club. This position will be responsible for performing any combination of the following duties:
Essential Duties:
- Perform mowing of rough and fairway areas according to designated cutting specifications, ensuring no damage is incurred to turf, flowers, trees, or shrubs.
- Utilize hand mowers, walk-behind power mowers, and/or Triplex equipment to cut turf on green and tee areas.
- Prepare new greens, grades, and clean traps by digging, raking, and repairing cart paths using shovels, rakes, picks, spades, and other necessary tools.
- Participate in the planting, trimming, and pruning of shrubs using trimmers, gas blowers, hedge trimmers, and other relevant equipment as necessary.
- Set up pins and tee markers for daily play and tournaments as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of tools and machinery used for daily tasks.
- Conduct renovation of worn and damaged turf as needed.
- Attend maintenance staff and safety meetings as required.
- Fulfill various duties assigned by Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Greenskeeper Foreman to ensure the smooth operation of the golf course maintenance activities.
Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- One-year related experience at a golf course and/or training
Physical Demands:
- Regularly stands, walks, sits, and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly talks or hears and lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
- Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and works near moving mechanical part.
- Occasionally works in high, precarious places and in areas with fumes or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Occasionally works in extreme heat (non-weather) and experiences vibration. Noise level is loud.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License

- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour
