Lead Preschool Teacher:
The Children’s School is hiring a highly qualified Early Childhood teacher to team-teach a class of 14 children ages 3.5 years to 5 years old. The selected teacher will collaborate with their co-teacher to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with The Children’s School’s goals for children and philosophy. In addition, Teamwork, interpersonal skills, reliability, and adaptability are highly valued.

Position Timeframe and Hours:
Tentative Schedule: 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm Tuesday through Friday (Mondays off - but may change to a different day of the week if needed for staffing purposes)
All Lead Teachers work four days a week with one work-from-home day. The WFH day is utilized for additional planning, prep, occasional meetings, and reviews.

About Us:
The Children’s School teaches children aged 18months through 6 years old. Our school serves approximately 100 families in and around Boise and has been located in Boise’s North End since 1980.

Requirements:
Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field.
Completed (or ability to pass) an Enhanced Background Check
Strong ECE knowledge and practice, including curriculum planning and appropriate assessment.
Preferred:
Has 1 year experience as head teacher or co-teacher in classroom similar to TCS.
Knowledge of and experience with Developmental-Interaction or similar approach.
Knowledge of and experience with project based learning.
