Location: On-site (Snohomish County / Greater Seattle Area, WA) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour DOE (40+ hours/week)
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Landscape / Hardscape Crew Lead to join Washington Landscaping, a division of United Services Northwest.
This is a leadership role for someone who not only knows how to build high-quality outdoor spaces—but can also lead a crew, manage job sites, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
You’ll be responsible for running jobs from start to finish, coordinating materials and labor, and maintaining clear communication between the field and office. If you take pride in your work, lead by example, and want to grow into higher-level operations or management, this is a strong opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Job Site Management

Lead and supervise a crew on landscape and hardscape projects

Delegate tasks, maintain productivity, and ensure quality standards are met

Set the pace on-site and lead by example with hands-on work

Train and mentor team members to improve skill level and efficiency
Project Execution

Oversee installation of paver patios, walkways, and retaining walls

Manage builds including fencing, pergolas, arbors, irrigation systems, and lighting

Read and interpret plans, layouts, and specifications

Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Operations & Coordination

Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily job site needs

Communicate with management regarding progress, delays, or issues

Identify and solve problems in real-time to keep jobs moving

Maintain accurate updates on job status and completion
Safety & Quality Control

Enforce company safety standards and job site protocols

Ensure all work meets company quality expectations

Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Required Qualifications
-
3–7+ years of experience in landscape construction or hardscape installation
-
Proven experience leading crews or managing job sites

Strong knowledge of pavers, retaining walls, irrigation systems, and fencing

Ability to read blueprints and execute detailed project plans

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Reliable, punctual, and accountable
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience managing multiple projects or crews

Ability to estimate or scope smaller jobs

Experience with equipment operation (excavators, skid steers, etc.)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Day in the Life
Your day starts by reviewing the job plan, organizing your crew, and ensuring materials and equipment are ready. From there, you lead the team through the day’s work—whether that’s building retaining walls, installing patios, or coordinating irrigation and finish work.
You’ll be actively working alongside your crew while also managing workflow, solving problems, and keeping the job on schedule. Throughout the day, you’ll communicate with the office and ensure everything is progressing smoothly.
