Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full Time
AFFA Diagnostic & Treatment Center is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our multidisciplinary clinical team. This is a patient-facing clinical position serving children and families, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide hands-on clinical support to our providers and help ensure patients receive compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, comfortable working with children and families, and able to thrive in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take and accurately record patient vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and clinical visits
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and patient visits
- Collect specimens and prepare them for laboratory processing
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
- Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms
- Follow infection control, safety, and clinical protocols
- Support providers in maintaining efficient patient flow
- Assist with care coordination for patients with developmental and behavioral needs
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and other members of the clinical team
- Perform other CMA-related clinical duties within the scope of the position and under provider supervision
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- Fluency in English required
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Professional and compassionate approach to working with children and families
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with children or individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a plus
- Experience in a developmental, behavioral health, or multidisciplinary clinical setting is a plus
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks preferred
