Located near the Los Angeles areas of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Downtown, we are currently seeking an ABA Clinic Support Facilitator to join our dynamic team.

The Behavior Therapy Clinic Support Specialist will primarily work closely with our Behavior Therapy Leadership and staff to provide support to individuals with autism and behavior therapists in clinic-based setting, while working as a part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, excellent with children, fun, creative, flexible, self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills to work with our Smile families and alongside our Smile therapists and staff! Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to children with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met in a nurturing environment.
- Facilitate communication with children, families, and behavior therapists, utilizing bilingual skills as necessary.
- Assist with and promote independence through engaging activities.
- Facilitate compliance with labor laws by implementing effective policies and monitoring systems to ensure employees receive legally mandated breaks
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) in early childhood development, or a related degree including but not limited to: behavior intervention, special education, child development, psychology, etc.
- MUST have minimum one year of experience in a child-care environment (e.g., preschool, clinic setting, social skills groups, etc.)
- Experience working with or providing treatment to children with or at risk for ASD with knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis and DIR/Floor-Time Treatment approaches
- At least 6 months of experience working with the pediatric population (generally, 12 months to 6 years of age)
- Effective planning and problem-solving
- Excellent oral communication and written skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Must be compassionate, innovative, flexible, self-motivated and be able to work with families and children in a supportive way to foster learning and development
- Must be able to work alongside Smile’s therapists and staff members to support a dynamic, positive work environment
- Bilingual speaking highly preferred, but not required
- Must be able to work from 10am - 7pm Monday - Friday
