The Logistics & Delivery Specialist plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations and field productivity at Excel Services. This position is responsible for the safe and accurate handling, organization, transportation, pickup, and delivery of tools, materials, and equipment between our warehouse, vendors, and construction job sites. The right candidate will understand that an accurate and on-time delivery can directly affect a construction crew's productivity and a project's schedule. This is a hands-on position requiring driving, loading and unloading materials, tool and inventory handling, communication with field personnel, and general warehouse support.

Safely transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from construction job sites.

Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately and on time.

Coordinate job-site pickups, returns, and material movements according to company procedures.

Communicate professionally with warehouse staff, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel regarding deliveries and pickups.

Verify materials and equipment before leaving the warehouse and upon delivery.

Support field productivity by ensuring crews receive the correct tools and materials when needed.

Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

Immediately report vehicle, delivery, material, or safety concerns.

Receive returned tools, materials, and equipment.

Scan tools and equipment in and out using the company's inventory management system.

Inspect returned tools and equipment for visible damage or operating concerns.

Organize and store tools and materials in their designated locations.

Stage tools, materials, and equipment for upcoming job-site deliveries.

Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.

Assist with inventory counts and equipment accountability as needed.

Safely load and unload tools, equipment, and construction materials.

Properly secure loads before transportation.

Use appropriate material-handling and load-securement practices.

Operate forklifts and other approved material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.

Follow company safety procedures to help prevent injuries, equipment damage, and material loss.

Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation.

Assist with delivery tracking and inventory accountability.

Support vendor pickups and coordination as assigned.

Assist with special warehouse and logistics projects.

Perform additional duties as needed to support warehouse, field, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous delivery, warehouse, logistics, construction, or material-handling experience.

Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and small tools used in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing construction preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities throughout the workday.

Ability to safely load, unload, move, and secure tools and construction materials.

Strong attention to detail and equipment accountability.

Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.

Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified after hire.

Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Relevant construction logistics experience, knowledge of MEP materials and tools, CDL qualifications, equipment experience, and demonstrated delivery/warehouse experience may be considered when determining starting pay.
