Description:
The Barista supports daily café operations by preparing high-quality coffee beverages and food items while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This role is responsible for delivering consistent, efficient service and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Barista contributes to a positive customer experience through attentive service, strong time management, and reliability during both routine and high-volume periods.
Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including cleaning dining tables and equipment.

Assist with daily tasks including restocking, inventory, and general café upkeep.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food handling and preparation.

Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.

Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure timely service without compromising quality.

Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and supplies.

Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Schedule
Seeking part-time team members for weekday daytime coverage (Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–3:30 PM), plus occasional afternoon and evening events.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Familiarity with food service operations in a café or retail setting is beneficial.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.

Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.

Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds

Basic knowledge is required in both written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous barista experience or coffee experience is highly preferred.

Interest in coffee, food service, or hospitality operations.

Food handler certification is a plus.
