American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Radiology - CT Scanning department, requiring ARRT RT(CT) certification, active NJ licensure, and BLS, with on-call and weekend availability.

Hospital-based radiology department with CT scanning unit (CT 1, 2, and 3)
-
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM (13-hour shifts)

3 days per week, 39 hours per week

On-call is required

Charting via Epic EMR

May be required to float to other nearby sister hospital locations

ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required
-
NJ DEP State X-Ray License required (license required if applicable)

Active NJ license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Completion of an accredited Radiographer Technical training program or college-based Radiography program

HS diploma or GED required
-
Venipuncture and power injector experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include preparing and executing CT procedures, assessing patients before and after contrast injections, and communicating findings to the radiologist and nursing staff

Screens patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities prior to contrast administration
-
Maintains sterility, cleanliness, and stocking of supplies and scanning rooms
-
Monitors and reports equipment malfunctions and performs daily, monthly, and ACR QA/QC requirements

Manages urgent and emergent workflows including Code Grey and trauma cases, ensuring immediate image acquisition, processing, and PACS/RIS submission per protocol
-
When assigned as Point technologist, triages procedures, coordinates emergency requests, and oversees department workflow and patient transport
