Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions tailored to client preferences.
- Perform specialized treatments such as balayage, highlights, and color correction using advanced color theory knowledge.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations and salon protocols.
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring a smooth salon flow.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Strong knowledge of hair coloring techniques, hair care products, and current styling trends.
- Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently and adhere to health regulations at all times.
- Knowledge of retail math and upselling strategies to maximize retail sales opportunities.
