Quinlivan & Hughes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting legal professionals by managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring smooth case progression. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help uphold the integrity of our legal processes while providing exceptional support to our clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research using various case management software and legal discovery tools to gather relevant information efficiently.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal terminology.
- Manage case files maintaining organized records and facilitating easy retrieval of information.
- Perform data entry tasks with precision to update case statuses, client information, and other essential records in compliance with confidentiality protocols.
- Support the filing process by preparing documents for submission to courts or clients, ensuring compliance with procedural rules.
- Handle client communication professionally, providing updates and responding to inquiries with clarity and courtesy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing multiple cases simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support ongoing cases and projects.
- Assist in legal discovery processes by reviewing documents for relevance and preparing materials for review or production.
Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate or Degree required
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or law clerk
- Experience with personal injury a plus
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent writing and proofreading abilities to produce clear, precise documentation.
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases concurrently while maintaining accuracy.
- Knowledge of legal discovery processes, filing procedures, and data entry best practices within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent client communication skills paired with a customer service mindset to support positive interactions with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail in proofreading documents for grammatical accuracy and consistency in legal terminology.
- Experience using Actionstep case management system a plus but not necessary.
Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
