Join the team that keeps Northwest Arkansas National Airport running safely and efficiently every day. The Airport Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of airport operations across the airfield, terminal, and landside areas.
The Airport Operations Specialist ensures safe, efficient airfield, terminal, and landside operations in compliance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 77 & 139), TSA 1542, and the Airport Certification Manual (ACM). Responsibilities include performing daily inspections, documenting and correcting discrepancies, issuing NOTAMs, and monitoring conditions during inclement weather. The role supports emergency and security plans, coordinates maintenance and contractor activities, and communicates with FAA, air carriers, tenants, and the public to maintain compliance and safety. This position requires the ability to operate snow removal and heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance oversight, and adapt work hours to meet operational needs.
