We offer our own interpretation of Japanese culinary tradition — reimagined through a California lens. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketplace Manager to lead our marketplace operations and elevate our presence. The marketplace manager is responsible for overseeing daily in-store marketplace operations to ensure an exceptional customer experience, operational efficiency, and achievement of sales and profitability goals. This role serves as the operational leader of the marketplace, managing staff, inventory, merchandising, food safety compliance, and facility standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day marketplace operations, ensuring smooth execution of store activities.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and develop team members to maintain high levels of performance and customer service.
- Monitor sales performance, labor costs, and operating expenses to achieve financial targets.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stock rotation, shrink control, and waste reduction.
- Ensure product displays, merchandising standards, and promotional programs are executed effectively.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Analyze operational data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly to maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives, operational procedures, and business growth plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in retail, grocery, food service, marketplace, or similar operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Experience with inventory control, merchandising, budgeting, and operational reporting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and operational compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
