WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Paralegal is responsible for providing litigation and legal support services to attorneys and government personnel supporting the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST). The position assists with bankruptcy matters, legal research, document management, case preparation, discovery, and trial support while ensuring compliance with applicable federal laws, court rules, and DOJ policies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist attorneys in preparing bankruptcy cases for hearings, litigation, and administrative proceedings.
- Review, organize, and analyze legal documents, pleadings, financial records, and evidentiary materials.
- Perform legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, and other legal research tools.
- Draft correspondence, legal memoranda, summaries, and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Prepare and maintain case files, exhibits, witness materials, and litigation support databases.
- Monitor case deadlines, court filings, and scheduling requirements.
- Coordinate document production, discovery, and records management activities.
- Assist with trial preparation, hearing preparation, and courtroom support as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information and privileged materials.
- Communicate professionally with government personnel, trustees, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
WHAT MATTERS TO US:
- Masters degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting litigation or bankruptcy matters.
- Experience with electronic document management and legal research databases.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust or higher security clearance.
- Must have excellent analytical skills and are creative problem solvers
- Must be highly organized with good oral and written communication skills
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
WHAT WILL MATTER TO YOU:
Muse Technologies offers its employees' salaries that are commensurate with their experience, and that are market compatible. This position will have multiple duty locations in the San Francisco, CA commuting area. The employee will be expected to report to various work locations as directed without additional compensation for travel.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
