Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects across multiple locations. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction site experience, exceptional management skills, and a strong understanding of construction management software and scheduling tools. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and vendors to deliver outstanding results while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects on-site across various locations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee daily construction activities, supervising teams of subcontractors and labor personnel to maintain productivity and safety.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of project specifications.
- Coordinate project scheduling using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid to develop detailed timelines and monitor progress against milestones.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce OSHA safety standards and federal construction safety regulations; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or other tools for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Oversee quality control procedures through construction drawing review, blueprint reading, and schematic analysis to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Interpret technical data using tools like ohmmeters for electrical systems or other specialized equipment on-site.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; prepare reports for senior management.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams by coordinating construction schedules and resolving conflicts promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols including OSHA standards; conduct safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on active sites.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; experience with ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction documents accurately.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong understanding of contracts, change orders, budgeting, and construction estimating processes.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively across multiple locations while managing logistics efficiently.
- Skilled in reviewing construction drawings for accuracy and coordinating schedule updates seamlessly.
- Experience in interpreting technical data from electrical or mechanical systems using specialized tools like ohmmeters or multimeters.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining high standards of quality control and safety compliance.

Pay: $69,861.29 - $92,091.02 per year
