Job Title: Environmental ScientistJob Description
The Environmental Scientist will perform environmental field oversight on remediation and construction projects throughout New York City. This role involves preparing and maintaining Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) documentation and ensuring compliance with NYSDEC regulations. The successful candidate will manage and track waste disposal documentation, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste manifests.
Responsibilities-
Complete daily field reports documenting site activities, contractor progress, environmental observations, and regulatory compliance.

Collect environmental samples including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and air samples.

Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects remain compliant and on schedule.

Support projects operating under NYCOER, Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), petroleum remediation, and site redevelopment requirements.
Essential Skills-
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or closely related discipline.

Minimum of 2 years experience working in the field doing construction oversight, community air monitoring (CAMP), soil sampling, groundwater sampling, etc.

Experience supporting Brownfield Clean Up Program projects and New York State Clean Up Act initiatives.

Responsible for daily reports and site safety.

Work Environment
The role requires 100% field work with on-site hours from 6:45 am to 3:30 pm. The company offers a great office culture and has grown to over 10 people since its inception in 2017. Benefits include 2 weeks of vacation (negotiable), 8 paid holidays, and sick time.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.00/hr.
