firstPRO is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our customer’s Philadelphia office. This is a hybrid position that will support organizational change and strategic initiatives by identifying business needs, defining requirements, recommending solutions, and supporting project delivery from planning through implementation.
The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis and project management skills, excellent stakeholder communication abilities, and experience working on complex projects in healthcare, research, academic, or similarly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle, including business case development, requirements elicitation and analysis, stakeholder communication, testing, and training.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of strategic plans, project plans, and supporting initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) activities, including defining functional requirements, developing vendor evaluation criteria and scorecards, coordinating demonstrations, and analyzing vendor scoring results.
- Lead the collection, documentation, validation, and approval of business requirements, use cases, process documentation, and testing deliverables.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts while coordinating testing activities and approvals.
- Support process improvement initiatives by developing process flowcharts, value stream maps, and other documentation to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and track project success metrics, including performance measures, return on investment (ROI), and other indicators of project effectiveness.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure deliverables are organized, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify challenges, improve processes, and enhance project and program delivery.
- Support the adoption and education of business analysis, project management, and change management methodologies across the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout project planning, implementation, and organizational change activities.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to business analysis, project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) principles, practices, and guidelines.
- Intermediate knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles and methodologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of change management principles and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of healthcare, research, or academic operations and systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
- Advanced proficiency in business analysis techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional business analysis experience.
Preferred Experience
- 7+ years of business analysis experience, including responsibility for medium-to-large, complex projects with increasing levels of ownership.
- 3+ years of project management experience supporting small-to-medium-sized initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience working in a healthcare, research, academic, or similarly complex organizational environment.
- Experience with project budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting.
- Experience supporting organizational change, process improvement, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
