Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in infants
- Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times
- Observe and document each infant’s developmental milestones and behaviors to inform personalized care plans
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Manage classroom routines effectively to foster consistency and security for infants
- Collaborate with team members to plan engaging activities that support early childhood development principles such as childhood development theories and preschool experience
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education practices and infant care techniques
- Experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies suitable for young children
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Familiarity with childcare regulations, health standards, and safety protocols specific to infant care environments
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere
