Provision Concepts is seeking an experienced and driven Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations, develop team members, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, financially responsible, and passionate about hospitality leadership.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, managing staff performance, controlling costs, and driving overall restaurant success. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, service, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the management team and restaurant staff
- Conduct interviews, hiring, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Provide onboarding and training for all employees
- Conduct semi-annual management reviews with SMART goal setting
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and post-shift debriefs
- Ensure employee audits are conducted daily
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and consistency
Operations Management
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed
- Oversee FOH staff checkout procedures and floor plan execution
- Maintain optimal restaurant ambiance, cleanliness, and parking lot security
- Ensure all dining room furniture and equipment are clean and in excellent working condition
- Document and follow up on maintenance and repair needs
- Fill in where needed to maintain service standards during high volume or staffing shortages
Guest Experience
- Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served according to company recipes and standards
- Interact with guests regularly and strive to visit every table
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Respond to online reviews and solicit guest feedback
Financial & Inventory Management
- Control food and beverage costs through proper storage, portioning, and waste management
- Administer pour tests each shift
- Monitor food holding and refrigeration temperature controls
- Order food, beverage, and supplies according to specifications
- Verify deliveries meet company receiving standards
- Conduct and oversee regular inventory counts
- Maintain up-to-date inventory costs and unit pricing
- Create and manage weekly labor budgets and P&L performance
- Schedule labor appropriately based on projected business levels
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete all required administrative duties in a timely and organized manner, including:
- New hire paperwork
- Daily sales summaries
- Invoices
- Staff schedules
- Budget tracking
- Online guest responses
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Present a professional appearance in proper uniform
- Follow all Provision Concepts policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct
- Administer fair and consistent corrective action when necessary
- Attend mandatory meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
