About Mowze
We are looking to add a Field Service Technician to our team to help us through the end of mowing season. This is a temporary role with an anticipated duration of approximately 3-4 months.
Mowze is modernizing lawn care with commercial electric robotic mowers. We provide both mowing services and robot leasing, working on large residential, commercial, and institutional properties across the DMV.
About the Role
This is not a typical landscaping job—it’s a mix of technology, autonomy, and customer success. This is a hands-on, hybrid role combining:
- Outdoor field work
- Light troubleshooting (no engineering required)
- Customer interaction
- Demo and sales support
You’ll work directly with robotic mowing equipment while helping ensure every client—whether service or lease—is successful.
What You’ll Do:
Field Operations
- Operate and monitor robotic mowers on client properties
- Set up routes, boundaries, and schedules
- Maintain high-quality results across properties
- Perform basic maintenance (cleaning, blade changes, inspections)
- Operate string trimmers and blowers to edge, detail, and maintain clean, finished landscaping areas
Troubleshooting & Support
- Identify and resolve basic issues in the field
- Support lease customers with setup and adjustments
- Improve mower performance over time
Customer Success
- Communicate with clients and ensure a great experience
- Educate customers on how the system works
- Build long-term relationships
Sales & Demo Support
- Assist with demos and new client setups
- Answer basic questions and support growth opportunities
A Day in the Life
- Start your day at the shop or first property
- Deploy and monitor robotic mowers across 2–4 sites
- Perform site detailing using string trimmers and blowers to ensure a neat, polished appearance
- Adjust routes or troubleshoot issues as they come up
- Talk with a client about performance or improvements
- Support a demo or new setup in the afternoon
- Wrap up with basic maintenance and notes from the day
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working outdoors
- Strong problem-solving mindset (you don’t need to be super technical)
- Detail-oriented
- Good communication skills—you’ll interact with clients regularly
- Comfortable using apps and basic technology
- Valid driver’s license
Bonus If You Have
- Landscaping or lawn care experience
- Mechanical or hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Interest in robotics, electric equipment, or new technology
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
