Perform a variety of routine and complex transportation of materials to various location sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform all required pre-shift safety inspection of vehicle per DOT & Arcilla requirements.
2. Operation of hauling trucks on and off public highways.
3. Must be able to determine whether the cargo he/she transports (including baggage in a passenger-carrying motor vehicle) has been properly located, distributed, and secured in or on the motor vehicle.
4. Must be familiar with the methods and procedures for securing cargo in or on the motor vehicle he/she drives.
5. Accurately complete and turn in daily hauling report and weight tickets.
6. Ability to complete equipment inspections and log books per DOT regulations.
7. Ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs.
8. Perform all work in accordance with Arcilla Trucking’s environmental and safety policies.
9. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor or truck shop.
10. Review all cab controls and indicators.
11. Accurately record and submit to payroll all shop time, wait time, downtime, and time spent in training.
12. May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
13. Driver’s daily schedule is 6:30am – 4:30pm unless changed by the Fleet Manager.
Essential Job Functions
1. Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, pull and lift.
2. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
3. Ability to drive a commercial truck in off road bumpy conditions daily.
4. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
5. Agility and strength to climb on and off truck using 3-points of contact.
6. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
7. Ability to work with fuel, dust, lubricants and solvents.
8. Dexterous use of both hands and feet.
Preferred Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED preferred.
2. One (1) year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
3. Preferred TWIC Card
Position Requirements
1. Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License
2. Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
3. Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures with the intent to maintain a safe working environment. Report all safety incidents, accidents or injuries to supervisor immediately.
4. Participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings.
5. Ability to complete assigned tasks, work independently, and possess strong verbal communication skills.
6. Must understand and comply with Personal Protective Equipment requirements for work area.

Pay: $700.00 - $1,300.00 per week
