Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to identify changes or concerns promptly
- Administer medication following care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary requirements
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental health and emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of the home
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders through tailored memory care and behavioral support
- Assist with medical procedures including first aid, CPR, manual handling, and hospice or palliative care when necessary
- Document patient observations accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for patient transfer and mobility support
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Certifications in CPR and first aid are required; additional certifications in hospice care or geriatrics are a plus
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
- Compassionate attitude combined with energetic engagement to foster trust and comfort in clients’ homes

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
