The Role and Responsibilities
This is a physical, full-time position centered on interior and exterior facility maintenance.
Daily Duties (The Priority):
- Perform comprehensive daily tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, all common areas and workspaces.
- Ensure all restrooms and the fitness room are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, stocked, and sanitized.
- Manage waste disposal, including regularly emptying trash and recycling bins (ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to place trash outside for curbside pickup is required).
Property Grounds & Seasonal Support:
- Maintain the exterior property grounds, including regular sweeping of entrances, walkways, and parking area.
- Provide critical support for snow and ice management during winter months, including shoveling sidewalks and assisting with snow removal tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the general order and appearance of the facility.
Key Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of janitorial experience is required and any mechanical systems knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Driving: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Vehicle Operation: Experience with a standard/manual shift transmission vehicle is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available for a day shift (Monday-Friday) schedule, with required overtime on rotating weekends and holidays.
- Language: Fluency in English is required for communication and safety purposes.
- Physicality: Must be able to handle a physical workload, including regular lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
