Greenbrier Government Solutions is currently seeking a motivated Mid Level Application Developer to join our dynamic team in support of our new Veterans Affairs contract. Successful candidates must possess hands-on coding experience, specifically in a .NET framework.
These Application Developers will work as part of the remote technical team providing DEVOPS support for the configuration, operation, maintenance, and deployment of the Department of Veteran Affairs Enterprise Acquisitions Services (EAS) group.
The EAS portfolio of applications is currently comprised of SharePoint, Microsoft .NET platform, ASP.NET Model-View- Controller (MVC), Core.NET, WebAPI, Web Forms, Microsoft Azure Cloud AngularJS JBoss, Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).
Primary Job Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications and RESTful APIs in Microsoft .NET and ASP.NET Core environments, supporting interoperability and performance across the EASS eCMS application portfolio
- Work towards a SAFe-aligned development and delivery approach
- Expert level experience developing work products utilizing .NET and other software languages. Hands-on coding experience, specifically in a .NET framework.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Visual Studio
- Oversee implementation of test-driven development
- Working knowledge of security Tools (Fortify)
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Analyze business needs and user stories to identify technical solutions
- Participate in the requirements definition process to better understand the customer needs
- Ensure team follows established team-developed coding and software tools standards
- Ensure developed work products in adherence to established security and quality control standards for software development
- Ensure developed work products in adherence to 508 coding standards and tools
- Create the formal design documentation as required
- Work with Technical Writers to create interface control documents as required
- Possess knowledge of VA EASS objectives and ensure the program is in alignment
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated success as a developer with hands-on coding experience, specifically in a .NET framework.
- DevOps experience working within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery program
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
- Must be highly experienced with .NET C#, Visual Basic, etc.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, React Redux, and testing automation a plus
- Working knowledge of databases - SQL
- Experience with cloud infrastructure is essential.
- Demonstrated, strong analytical capabilities and technical knowledge by providing supportable technical solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing senior government officials
Qualifications
- Position requires US Citizenship
- Masters degree in a technical field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance at the Tier 2 (Moderate Risk) level (active preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
