CNC Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift Available

Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire| Monday–Friday | Minimum 40 Hours Per Week
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Proman Skilled Trades is seeking experienced CNC Operators to join our growing manufacturing team in Apopka, FL. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining expertise, Fanuc controls experience, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CAM programming for CNC machinery.
- Manufacture parts from engineering drawings, including material take-offs, tooling selection, machine setup, machine operation, program optimization, and inspections.
- Conduct in-process inspections and First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Utilize Fanuc controls, G & M code programming, hand edits, and program merging techniques.
- Make tool offset adjustments for wear and nominal dimensions.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Operate Renishaw probing systems and perform manual probe programming using macros.
- Train, mentor, and support junior machinists.
- Manage multiple CNC machines and machining operations simultaneously.
- Create accurate setup sheets and production documentation.
- Assist with fixture manufacturing and pilot-run program prove-outs.
- Perform 100% inspections on new parts to verify quality requirements.
- Support cutting tool selection, upgrades, and tooling evaluations.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T, true position, and datum structures.
- Maintain compliance with ISO quality standards and safety requirements.
- Apply advanced math, geometry, and trigonometry to machining challenges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to meet project timelines and production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification or Associate Degree in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining and programming experience.
- Strong experience with Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency in CAM programming, CNC setup, and machine operation.
- Experience working within ISO quality environments.
- Ability to manufacture complex parts to tight tolerances.
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or training experience is preferred.
