American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position on the 9E Acute Care unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA BLS certification.

28-bed acute care unit serving adult cardiopulmonary and neuro overflow patients
-
Cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry monitoring capabilities
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6

Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and telemetry monitor techs
-
Night shift: 18:30–07:00

Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period

Holiday coverage required based on department needs

13-week contract
-
Active OK or Compact RN license currently in hand

AHA BLS certification required
-
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (no international addresses)

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs

Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a stressful environment

Standard precautions and appropriate PPE must be followed at all times
