We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at Kimara Coast. Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, reliable software systems using programming languages such as Javascript, CSS, Node.js, and JavaScript frameworks like React and Express.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate efficient communication between distributed components and external services.
- Architect and optimize microservices-based systems leveraging cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS and Azure to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, participate in code reviews, and continuously improve development processes using version control tools like GitHub, SVN, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement best practices in software design patterns, system security (including RBAC), and database management with SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions, including system design for new features, scalability considerations, and performance tuning.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for codebases, APIs, and system configurations to support ongoing development and operational excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in software development with a strong background in web development, application development, and front-end/back-end integration.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure components including Linux environments, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and network protocols such as REST.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing scalable systems using microservices architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, C++, VBA, C,.NET frameworks, along with JavaScript frameworks like React or Express.
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban to deliver iterative value efficiently.
- Strong understanding of version control systems (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines for automated testing/deployment processes.
- Knowledge of security best practices including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) to ensure data protection across applications.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
