Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated In House Preparation / Onsite Event Cook to join our culinary team. This role is vital in delivering exceptional food experiences during onsite events, ensuring that each meal is prepared with precision, creativity, and care. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing their culinary expertise to create memorable moments for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, plating, and garnishing with skillful knife techniques
- Follow recipes and execute preparation lists and cook plans as directed by managers
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Proper labeling, packaging and storage of prepared product
- All prep must be completed and distributed before staff leaves work for the day, unless other instructions are communicated by management
- Practice safe handling of food and equipment. Ensure compliance is met with health codes
- Assist with any large-scale cooking, and plating catering events
- Help with loading and unloading of product as needed for events
- Flexible schedule to accommodate varying times of events and locations
- Transportation of product to events
- Travel to surrounding Columbia area as well as out of town events
Skills
- Strong skills in food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and event staff
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing menus or guest needs during onsite events
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
