Duties
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing in various neighborhoods to inform residents about campaign initiatives or candidates
- Engage in face-to-face conversations with community members, listening to their concerns and providing clear, compelling information
- Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update voter contact information, and track outreach progress
- Promote community engagement by organizing and participating in local events or gatherings
- Employ persuasive communication skills to motivate voters to support the campaign’s objectives
- Manage outdoor work environments responsibly, ensuring safety during all canvassing activities
- Assist with fundraising efforts by encouraging community support and donations when appropriate
Experience
- Prior experience in field sales, canvassing, or door-to-door outreach preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates although not needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in conversational dialogue and negotiate effectively
- Supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus, especially in community engagement or outreach initiatives
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with diverse populations
- Customer service experience enhances your ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Outdoor work experience is beneficial for navigating various weather conditions during canvassing activities
- Familiarity with telemarketing, marketing strategies, or fundraising techniques can contribute to campaign success
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
