Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join us at Hammerhead Construction. In this role, you will be actively involved in a variety of hands-on tasks that keep construction projects moving forward efficiently and safely. Our focus is on the completion of residential renovation projects. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in the construction industry while adhering to strict safety standards and contributing to high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Install and remove cabinets, flooring, drywall, trim, doors, and other building materials
- Load, unload, transport, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with framing, carpentry, painting, flooring, and finish work as assigned
- Follow project plans, measurements, and instructions
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting, working at heights, and operation of machinery
- Communicate effectively with team members and homeowners when appropriate
- Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and work collaboratively with the team
- Reliable transportation to arrive at job sites in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Experience working on construction projects and/or education related to construction
- Carpentry experience and/or relevant education preferred
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations
- Knowledge relevant to operating tools such as saws and drills
- Familiarity with schematics for heavy equipment operation and power tool usage
- Knowledge of carpentry including trim carpentry, framing, restoration work, and renovation processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation to arrive at job sites in a timely manner

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
