Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mason/Mason Labor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing a variety of masonry projects, including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete finishing, and building durable structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from renovations to new builds, utilizing your expertise in masonry techniques and construction processes. Your dedication will help ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and layout of construction sites according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform bricklaying, stone masonry, and concrete block installation with precision and attention to detail
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely during various masonry tasks
- Mix and apply mortar for brickwork, stonework, plastering, and caulking projects
- Install reinforcement rebar and assist with concrete forming and finishing processes
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprint specifications to ensure accurate execution of work
- Support the installation of building materials such as stucco, tile, metal studs, and other exterior/interior finishes
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment on all construction sites
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry or related construction fields
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, tile laying, and renovation projects preferred
- Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on building material installation and structural support
