We are seeking compassionate, patient, and experienced tutors to work one-on-one with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other learning differences. Tutor to join our dynamic educational team. About the Opportunity
Tutors who choose to engage in our network benefit from working directly with local students in one-on-one, in-person sessions. You set your availability, use your preferred teaching style, and own all aspects of how you do work. We’ll handle the logistics and reach out with tutoring opportunities that match your preferences, and you decide which ones you want to accept.
- Provide individualized tutoring aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and study skills.
- Communicate regularly with parents and the Club Z! team regarding student progress.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment.
- Travel only within your preferred local radius (typically 5-10 miles)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred but not required).
- Experience working with students with IEPs, learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other special learning needs.
- Current or former Special Education Teacher, General Education Teacher, Interventionist, or experienced tutor preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring assignments (if applicable).
Preferred Experience
- Special Education certification or teaching license.
- Experience with Wilson Reading, Orton-Gillingham, Executive Function coaching, or similar intervention programs.
- Knowledge of IEP accommodations and differentiated instruction.

Additional Notes
This is a project-based, flexible opportunity for experienced tutors in Raleigh. Engagements are arranged based on your availability and interest. There are no minimum hours, and you maintain full control over your schedule and teaching methods. Due to insurance requirements, tutors must be at least 18 years old.
Job Type: Part Time

Compensation: $25-$30/hr
