American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology/Pain Management position in California, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience with no first-time travelers considered.

Procedural unit with a 10-bed pre/post area and 2 procedure rooms focused on interventional pain management
-
Adult patient population (18 years and older) undergoing interventional pain management procedures

Average daily census of 40 patients with approximately 45 procedures per day — a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3

Monday through Friday schedule; unit opens at 0545 and typically concludes by 1700, flexing with surgeon caseload

Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (0730–1700)

Floating required based on skill level, potentially between two locations (Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs)

No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements

Epic EMR used; proficiency required

Approximately 2/3 of cases are local anesthesia; the remainder use general anesthesia

Active CA RN license required

Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience in pain management, PACU, and/or OR strongly preferred

Epic proficiency required

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered

Responsibilities include pre/post procedural care and support during interventional pain management procedures in a high-volume procedural setting

This is more of a procedures-based environment than a typical outpatient clinic — OR, PACU, or pain management nursing background is highly relevant

Plain black scrubs with no emblems or logos required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
