About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and caring Childcare Teacher – Part-Time Closing to join our early childhood education team. This role provides afternoon and evening classroom support, helping ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while assisting with end-of-day routines.
The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team to help classrooms finish each day successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with daily classroom activities and afternoon routines.
- Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor play, and classroom transitions.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Assist with preparing and organizing classroom materials.
- Support children with daily routines while providing positive guidance and encouragement.
- Complete end-of-day classroom responsibilities, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing classrooms for the next day.
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with young children or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work afternoon and evening hours.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the center and provide classroom support where needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a childcare center, daycare, or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
