Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Lead Safety Professional to direct all safety operations on the project. This role is vital to ensuring a secure, compliant, and hazard-free environment for every person on site. As the senior member of our safety team, you will own risk management strategy, enforce occupational health standards, and uphold OSHA and NEC regulations to drive a culture of safety excellence. Your expertise will prevent incidents, manage compliance, and support the overall success of the project across all shifts and phases.
Duties
- Lead comprehensive safety inspections across the project to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor all construction activities for compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other relevant standards, providing immediate guidance when deviations occur.
- Own risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address project-specific and emerging hazards.
- Direct occupational health practices, including ergonomic assessments and injury-prevention initiatives for the full crew.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance records using construction management software.
- Partner with project and construction management teams to coordinate safety training and enforce safety policies effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety incidents and emergencies, coordinating with emergency responders to ensure swift resolution.
- Set the safety standard for the project team and mentor field staff on best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and occupational health best practices in construction.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management tools.
- Experience in construction site management, including construction management software and site-specific safety protocols.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication skills for training team members and liaising with regulatory agencies and emergency responders.
- Ability to interpret complex safety regulations and implement effective compliance strategies on active construction sites.
- Demonstrated leadership and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

- Construction Safety and large projects: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CHST (Preferred)
- CSST (Preferred)
