What You'll Do:
- Perform advanced SOC analysis, including triage, incident reporting, and threat hunting
- Contribute to building and enhancing security detection content within Splunk Enterprise Security
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams via ticketing and orchestration platforms to remediate alerts and strengthen defenses
- Continuously tune alerts, manage logs, and automate repetitive tasks to improve security posture
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3+ years in a SOC environment
- Extensive experience with incident response, triage, threat detection, and alert tuning
- Advanced proficiency with Splunk ES/Core, including writing complex SPL queries
- Familiarity with email and endpoint security platforms such as Proofpoint TAP/TRAP and CrowdStrike Falcon
- Comfortable working in shift environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Passion for professional growth in cybersecurity
Nice to Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms like Wiz, Zscaler, and Proofpoint Email Gateway
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, OSCP, or CySA+
- Scripting knowledge in Python or PowerShell for automation
- Experience using AI-tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and LLMs to tackle security challenges
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience, with demonstrated SOC expertise
