We are seeking a talented Life Safety Electronic Service Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this field sales role, you will represent Johnson Controls and promote Electronic Fire Service offerings to customers and end users across an assigned territory and account base. You will sell Electronic Services, including Moves, Adds, and Changes, while building long-term customer relationships and driving sales growth.
Represent the company professionally and promote Electronic Fire Service offerings to customers and end users within your assigned territory and accounts.
Manage the full sales cycle from uncovering opportunities and developing solution value propositions through design, contract preparation, negotiation, closing, and ongoing customer service.
Sell Electronic Services, including Moves, Adds, and Changes, to an assigned customer base.
Collaborate with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs.
Assume account management responsibilities, including coordination of installation, customer training, and related service activities to support complete customer satisfaction.
Qualify opportunities quickly using strong sales, presentation, and closing skills.
Determine customer needs and build sales strategies that strengthen understanding of company offerings.
Conduct building surveys to support estimates and develop accurate proposals.
Maintain an active proposal backlog and keep sales activity aligned with plan objectives.
Prepare financial justifications, presentations, proposals, and follow-up actions to support successful sales closure.
Close sales to meet or exceed territory and annual sales plan goals.
Investigate and resolve customer issues related to delivery dates, billings, financing, and other account matters.
Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact and pursue additional sales opportunities.
Conduct periodic market investigations within the assigned territory to identify new applications and provide sales forecasting.
Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.

Minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in sales.

Ability to obtain the appropriate licenses required by national, state, and local codes.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.

Ability to obtain NICET certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Experience working with electrical contractors.

Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Computer experience including familiarity with Word, Excel, and job costing systems.

Experience with Microsoft and Oracle programs.
We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000, with final compensation based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data. This role also includes a competitive Sales Incentive Plan based on project, quarterly, and annual margin.
