Security Officer Transitional Housing
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Experience Required in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team and always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Monitor visitor, staff, and resident movement in accordance with location policies, assisting with directions, de-escalation support, and/or communication during high-traffic periods.

Support order at the location by observing daily activity, following post instructions, and coordinating with site personnel and first responders when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:

A New York State Security Guard License is required.

A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
