Position Overview
The General Manager is the senior on-site leader responsible for overall business performance, team development, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. This role is ideal for an experienced leader with a proven ability to drive financial results, lead high-performing teams, and create exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Financial Management
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, labor costs, expenses, and financial reporting
- Analyze key metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development
Operations & Guest Experience
- Ensure exceptional service and care for pets and their families
- Maintain operational standards, safety programs, facility maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with ownership on growth initiatives and long-term planning
- Evaluate systems and processes to support business success
- Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for the Barkaritaville brand
Qualifications
- 5+ years of General Manager or senior leadership experience with P&L responsibility
- Experience in hospitality, pet care, retail, restaurant, lodging, or other service-based industries
- Strong financial, operational, and people leadership skills
- Proven success in developing management teams and driving business results
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Corpus Christi
Schedule
- Typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Holidays and every other Saturday are required
- Must be available on-call based on operational needs
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting at $50,000 annually
