We are looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our animal care team. In this administrative role, you check-in our animal patients, update their records and owner information, schedule appointments, and process payments. You may also be asked to help prepare prescriptions or provide home-care instructions to pet owners. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required. Experience in veterinary medicine prefered!
Veterinary Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
· Check-in animal patients
· Gather and certify pet and owner information
· Maintain records
· Schedule appointments
· Process payments
· Print and file records
· Educate clients about services and products
· Maintain and clean lobby and workspace
· Prepare prescriptions and explain instructions
· Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Veterinary Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Customer service skills
· Basic math skills and computer literacy
· Comfortable working with animals
· Experience with veterinary medicine and/or Pulse preferred.
Work Hours
8am to 5:30pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri. 8-1:30 on Wed.
No weekends or major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, July 4th, Memorial day)
(Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest time of year at our clinic. No vacation requests are approved during this time)
