We are currently seeking to fill a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) position in our Eureka location.
Position Summary: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides clinical leadership, oversight, supervision, and consultation for New Life Discovery Project programs. The LCSW oversees Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services, determines participant eligibility and program appropriateness, reviews and signs care plans, conducts risk assessments, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes ethical, person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight of ECM services.
- Review, approve, and sign individualized care plans and care plan updates.
- Provide clinical oversight of IOP services, including assessments, treatment planning, continued stay reviews, discharge planning, and documentation compliance.
- Determine participant eligibility and appropriateness for admission, continued services, referral, transfer, or discharge.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and clinical consultation to staff.
- Utilize and interpret ASAM Criteria, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and other evidence-based screening and assessment tools.
- Conduct suicide, self-harm, abuse, neglect, and other risk assessments and develop safety plans when indicated.
- Coordinate referrals to mental health, substance use disorder, medical, housing, and community-based services.
- Ensure compliance with DHCS, Medi-Cal, HIPAA, CalAIM, Partnership HealthPlan, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Participate in utilization review, quality improvement activities, case conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics and all applicable laws and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Current and unrestricted California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
- Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, homelessness, justice involvement, or other complex needs
- Experience with Enhanced Care Management (ECM), care coordination, or integrated behavioral health programs preferred
- Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and evidence-based behavioral health assessment practices
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel as necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health treatment systems
- Understanding of Medi-Cal, DHCS requirements, and care management models
- Ability to assess clinical risk and determine appropriate interventions
- Excellent documentation and case review skills
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and provide clinical supervision
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and strengths-based approaches
- Proficiency with electronic health records and care management platforms

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
