We assist individuals receiving disability benefits as they return to work and navigate reporting requirements.
We are growing our Payments Department and are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable individual with strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
Job Overview
The Payment Assistant supports daily document intake, data entry, and client follow-up communication. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys structured, detail-focused work and routine daily processes.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve and organize client documents from email, mail, fax, and internal systems
- Process pay stubs and other client documentation
- Upload, enter, and maintain accurate documentation in the internal system
- Identify missing or incomplete documents and follow up with clients as needed
- Manage follow-up calendar and complete outbound client calls
- Request missing documents and provide basic support during client communication
- Maintain daily tracking logs and submit reports to department drive
- Send weekly follow-up letters and assist with general administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable making outbound phone calls
- Strong computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
- Ability to quickly learn internal systems and documentation processes
- Prior office, data entry, or customer service experience preferred
- Must successfully complete an SSA suitability determination, including fingerprinting and a federal background investigation, prior to employment start date
