Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks across various areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute projects.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues related to erosion control, structural integrity, or safety hazards.
- Utilize power tools and manual equipment safely while adhering to all workplace safety regulations.
- Repair or replace equipment components, ensuring proper functioning and longevity of machinery.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting, climbing, and manual handling tasks while maintaining proper safety protocols such as respiratory protection when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial construction or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and installation.
- Familiarity with erosion control techniques and implementing OSHA safety standards on-site.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working at heights safely.
- Knowledge of respiratory protection procedures and other personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety practices including adherence to all safety regulations related to industrial construction environments.
