Job Summary
We are excited to welcome a friendly and proactive Busser/Food Runner to our team at a fine dining Italian restaurant in Beachwood. In this role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring our guests enjoy seamless service and a welcoming atmosphere. As a busser/food runner you will receive our busser rate plus tips. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and inviting dining space.
- Assist servers by delivering food promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Support food preparation and plating when needed, helping maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Help keep the dining area organized, including setting up tables and restocking supplies.
- Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes and utensils properly during service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service.
- Provide friendly guest interactions, answering basic questions about menu items or wait times.
Skills
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and restaurant operations enhances your effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and engage with guests.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food presentation, bussing, or banquet service can be an advantage.
