Overview
The Friesian is looking for a Line Cook or two, depending on availability. Willing to work with the right people. Ideally someone with some experience in the industry, although not entirely necessary. As a Line Cook you will be responsible for learning our menu, recipes, and techniques.
About Us: We are an independent restaurant with very low turnover and a relaxed, but, professional atmosphere.
Hourly Pay is dependent on availability and experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilized effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs as required.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food handling practices.
- Need to be able to lift up to 50lbs
Skills
- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality output.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary considerations is a plus.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
