MBI Builders is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects. The Project Manager is responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors and field personnel, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Field Operations
- Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
- Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners to maintain productivity and project momentum.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Collaborate regularly with the Project Manager regarding project progress, scheduling, manpower needs, and field issues.
- Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
- Conduct regular site walks and inspections to verify workmanship, compliance, and jobsite readiness.
Scheduling & Documentation
- Maintain and update daily logs, schedules, progress reports, and project documentation using Buildertrend.
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor sequencing to maintain project timelines.
- Track project progress and communicate schedule updates to the Project Management team.
- Ensure accurate documentation of field changes, delays, incidents, and completed work.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on all job sites.
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and address hazardous conditions immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite environment.
Team & Client Relations
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and team members.
- Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and clear communication.
- Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment among all project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of construction Project management or field leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, sequencing, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing fast-paced job sites.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Buildertrend or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or design-build construction projects.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
