Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure the well-being of patients in various settings. This role requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient advocacy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, ventilating, ostomy care, and botulinum toxin treatment as required.
- Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed to meet staffing demands.
- Deliver specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including home care services and durable medical equipment (DME) management.
Skills
- Proficient in maintaining medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Strong skills in patient care with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Experience with suture techniques and wound care management.
- Knowledge of ventilatory support techniques for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
- Familiarity with ostomy care practices for post-operative patients.
- Ability to administer botulinum toxin treatments safely and effectively.
- Experience in travel nursing is a plus but not mandatory.
- Understanding of dementia care principles to provide appropriate support for affected individuals.
- Competence in managing DME needs for patients transitioning from hospital to home care settings.
