Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items for service
- Support the culinary team during busy periods by bussing tables and clearing plates in dining areas
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by regularly sanitizing workstations, floors, and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols
- Aid in catering setups and banquet events by preparing necessary supplies and assisting with food presentation
- Help with general cleaning duties including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude; ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus but not mandatory
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to all health regulations
